Why I Am Helping Fellow Solopreneurs Build 6 and 7-Figure Businesses in Israel

How teaching others to charge premium prices strengthens Israel's economy and my own business

I recently did a 60-min consult with a soloprenuer in Israel about packaging and pricing.

Afterwards, she emailed me:

It's a fair question. Why would someone building a successful business take time to help others do the same? Wouldn’t that create more competition?

Here's what I responded:

Money beliefs are a funny thing

For a long time, I couldn't wrap my head around the idea that any company would pay me more than $2-3K per month for my services.

Months later, after learning how to properly frame my offer, I now have several companies—even smaller ones—paying me significantly more.

What changed wasn't my skillset. Not only. It was my mindset around the relationship between money and value.

Besides Nicolas Cole, Alex Hormozi and his book $100M Offers have probably had the most influence on how I think about framing value and packaging offers. This has become the single biggest difference between charging $30, $300, or $3,000 for something.

One specific idea that's counterintuitive but absolutely crucial to understand is that clients actually get more value from you when they pay you more. Hormozi puts this best in his book, and I won't be able to do it justice here, but suffice to say, for now, when you think about buying wine, what do you "enjoy" more, a 200 NIS bottle or 20? In the book he explains further.

Why I do these consults (3-5 per month)

Two honest answers:

1) Zionism + Building the Future of the Jewish People in Israel

Mainly Zionism. I am building my whole career to prove everyone wrong that you can't make a good living - even a great living - from Israel. I am deeply passionate about the future of the Jewish People in Israel and increasingly Aliyah - and since I believe that one fo the biggest reasons American Jews don't make more Aliyah, is because they have deep fears around money and income.

I want to prove them wrong.

That's why I'm building to $1m in revenue annually and why I want to empower other people to make great money here too. In the last few years I feel like I have unlocked massive opportunity and began to understand big things about business that can help people frame their value in a way that helps them and helps their clients - and if I can use my God-given knowledge and talents to help other Olim and help grow the Israeli economy - what a gift that is.

Zooming out, every Israeli entrepreneur who learns to charge what they're worth strengthens our economy far more than those undervaluing themselves.

2) Teaching strengthens my own understanding

The second reason is that having these sessions helps me refine and clarify my thinking around these topics. Obviously when you teach something you need to understand it well - so these sessions motivate me to indulge my curiosity and keep learning - which I believe is vital in these areas because these are high-leverage skills.

If you can frame value, make offers, choose pricing, make sales, do efficient fulfilment, etc. - these are transferable skills that can help me make money in any industry and become financially free. So having these sessions helps me learn more - not only from needing to prepare but from "students" themselves.

Thank you @successful solopreneur in Israel for this wonderful question that made me reflect on my own motivations.
